Oxfam India

The ongoing pandemic has revealed that the health systems in most countries are under-prepared to cope with any major health emergency and its unequal impact on the have and the have-nots. With these insights in mind, this report provides a comprehensive analysis of the status of health across different socioeconomic groups to gauge the level of health inequality that persists in the country.

The aim of this report is to trigger a discourse on the inequalities in health that India has witnessed during the pandemic and inherently known for a long time. This report adds to the various voices that are demanding that the government takes concrete steps towards ensuring quality, affordable and accessible healthcare for all sections of the population.
