Insights
Key findings from migrant workers:
- Only 23% registered under any welfare board
- 60-70% have not received any cash transfer support
- 85% have no income at all during lockdown
- 60% have wanted or tried to go back home
- Of those who reached their native places, 50% stayed at quarantine centers, and the rest self-quarantined. 63% of those at quarantine centers report unclean centers or irregular food
- 55% of returned migrants plan to work in agriculture
