SEWA Bharat has intensified its support in the areas where it is currently working by ensuring food availability (through the distribution of dry ration kits in most areas and by running community kitchens from the premises of the child-care cooperatives in some areas), hygiene and safety (through the distribution of hygiene kits) and awareness generation (through its network of Agewans or local women leaders.)
SEWA Bharat has also drafted a quick appeal on behalf of the informal workers, and is partnering with its sister organisations to respond to the needs of workers in the informal economy.
Finally, SEWA is actively raising funds through platforms like Milaap and is also directly writing to funders in response to their RFP and EOIs.
