SEWA Cooperative Federation has been working across the following:
– Ration kit distribution (with local governments)
– Production and distribution of preventative health products – face masks, sanitiser (with member cooperatives)
– Supporting service cooperatives (domestic workers) in ensuring income security during lockdown through advocacy with employers
– Assessing livelihood loss of member cooperatives, by trade/sector of workIdentifying gaps in digital inclusion (including access to mobiles, internet connections)
– Plan for capacity building in digital technologies
– Plan on setting up a livelihood protection fund, which can also be used for working capital access by women’s collective enterprises
