Gramin Swavlamban Samiti Tikamgarh (GSS) is community based organization founded in 2002 with prime objective of economic empowerment of women and other marginalized groups. Its founder and Executive director/ secretary , Mr. Rajkumar. He facilitate accessibility of basic rights and development for all in rural areas. He started to serve deprived villages in Bundelkhand region of Madhya Pradesh. Bundelkhan region is historically known as a drought prone region and infamous for migration, scarcity of drinking water and overall economic inequality perhaps marginalized groups like scheduled caste, nomadic tribes, backward communities and religious minorities of this region bottom of the pyramid facing significant problems. These marginalized group are disproportionally landless, unskilled educated and mostly are manual labour therefore for livelihood and daily needs they are highly depended on landowning communities and money lenders and such a vulnerable condition is one of the basic root of their exploitation. GSS hence decided to work such vulnerable groups for their upliftment and welfare of the community.
