Summary: The eighth edition of the coffee chat series discussed gender, livelihoods, and financial inclusion. Vidushi Dhawan (Research Manager, EPoD India at IFMR) presented insights from three research studies on the theme of women’s access to bank accounts and financial literacy in Madhya Pradesh, gender and financial inclusion in Bihar, and gender and mobile banking systems in Madhya Pradesh. Sohini Bhattacharya (CEO, Breakthrough India) discussed changing social norms with regards to gender and livelihoods, and aspirations for young adults.
